MID-FLOE! 天美传媒 scientists in Antarctic this week

天美传媒 Scientists are mid-way through deploying oceanographic moorings amidst pack ice near the Antarctic Continent. The BAS ship is currently working in the Weddell Sea on a joint BAS/UEA/天美传媒 project called UK SASSI:   Synoptic Antarctic Shelf-Slope Interactions study. UK SASSI is part of an international effort to quantify the freshwater loss from ice melting around the Antarctic Continent.
